Peer Institution Review
This peer-led pilot initiative is designed to support CUPSO members with thoughtful, strategic insights to strengthen university-based public service and applied research centers. If your center is facing a key transition, launching a new initiative, or seeking to reflect and plan for the future, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Through this pilot, your organization can help shape a valuable new member service while receiving a tailored, confidential review conducted by experienced peers from across the CUPSO network. The process will focus on identifying organizational strengths, surfacing opportunities for growth, and offering strategic recommendations aligned with your mission and context.
Participation in the pilot will include:
- A collaborative scoping process to determine focus areas for the review
- A site visit or virtual engagement with a peer review team
- A summary report with actionable feedback and strategic guidance
- A wrap up meeting with the review team to go over the report and ask clarifying questions
- Opportunities to provide input on shaping the final service offering
We expect the pilot to be mutually beneficial: your center will receive insights from seasoned public service leaders, and CUPSO will gain critical input to refine this service for long-term impact.
This first round of pilot reviews is being offered free of charge, although centers being reviewed will be responsible for any travel costs if an in-person review is requested, as well as for providing necessary administrative support (gathering documentation, setting up interviews with key stakeholders, etc).
